TEORI PEMBENTUKAN BUMI

Teori pembentukan Bumi adalah berbagai teori yang diajukan sebagai penjelasan asal usul terbentuknya bumi. Banyak ilmuwan yang meneliti dan menyimpulkan peristiwa terbentuknya bumi, dengan berbagai teori dan hipotesis mereka.

Teori Kant

Pada tahun 1755, seorang filosof Jerman yang bernama Immanuel Kant mengemukakan tata surya yang terdiri atas matahari, bumi, bulan, planet, serta asteroida pada mulanya berbentuk nebula atau kumpulan bintang yang menyerupai awan atau gas dengan massa yang berat.^[1] Melalui proses pendinginan, nebula tersebut berubah menjadi bumi, bulan, matahari, dan planet - planet.^[1]

Teori Buffon

Pada waktu yang hampir bersamaan muncul teori dari ahli ilmu alam Perancis George Louis Leelere Comte de Buffon.^[1] Beliau mengemukakan bahwa dahulu kala terjadi tumbukan antara matahari dengan sebuah komet yang menyebabkan sebagian massa matahari terpental ke luar.^[1] Massa yang terpental ini menjadi planet.^[1]

Jenis-jenis Peta

Secara umum peta dibagi atas beberapa klasifikasi, sebagai berikut :

1. Berdasarkan Sumber Datanya

a. Peta Induk (Basic Map)

Peta induk yaitu peta yang dihasilkan dari survei langsung di lapangan. Peta induk ini dapat digunakan sebagai dasar untuk pembuatan peta topografi, sehingga dapat dikatakan pula sebagai peta dasar (basic map). Peta dasar inilah yang dijadikan sebagai acuan dalam pembuatan peta-peta lainnya.

b. Peta Turunan (Derived Map)

Peta turunan yaitu peta yang dibuat berdasarkan pada acuan peta yang sudah ada, sehingga tidak memerlukan survei langsung ke lapangan. Peta turunan ini tidak bisa digunakan sebagai peta dasar.
